Instructions:
- Open the door and carefully peel away the old weatherstrip; use a trim tool or flathead screwdriver to release any clips or retainers.
- Remove any remaining adhesive and dirt from the door flange using isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth; ensure the surface is dry and smooth.
- Compare the new weatherstrips to the old pieces to confirm left/right orientation and part match (DWP 2110 99).
- If adhesive was used on the original seal, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the flange following the adhesive manufacturer’s directions.
- Starting at the top corner, press the new weatherstrip firmly into the door channel and work around the perimeter, ensuring the seal seats evenly and any integrated clips engage.
- Trim any excess material at the ends with a utility knife for a clean fit, and re-seat any trim pieces or retainers removed earlier.
- Close the door and check for uniform compression of the seal; adjust tension or placement if necessary.
- Allow any applied adhesive to cure per the adhesive instructions (typically 30 minutes to 24 hours) before exposing the vehicle to rain or high-speed driving.
