Instructions:
- Open the door and inspect the existing upper weatherstrip; remove any retaining clips if present.
- Carefully pull out and remove the old weatherstrip. Use a trim tool or protected screwdriver to avoid damaging paint or trim.
- Clean the door channel and mating surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or an adhesive remover to remove old glue, dirt, and residue. Allow surface to dry.
- Dry-fit the new seal along the upper door edge to verify orientation (right-hand) and trimming needs. Confirm the part number DWR1111-99 matches location.
- If adhesive is recommended for your vehicle, apply a thin, continuous bead of weatherstrip adhesive in short sections along the door channel.
- Starting at the front corner, press the new weatherstrip into the channel, working rearward and ensuring the profile seats evenly. For push-on installs, align and press firmly until the retention lip engages.
- Trim any excess with a utility knife or scissors and reinstall any retaining clips removed earlier.
- Close the door and check for proper fit, gaps, and even compression. Adjust as needed. Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions before exposing to water or heavy use.
