Flat-head screwdriver
Phillips screwdriver
Trim panel removal tool
Needle-nose pliers
Staple gun or upholstery stapler (or replacement clips/staples)
Socket set
Clean rags and isopropyl alcohol
Instructions:
Lower the window glass fully and disconnect the battery if desired for safety.
Remove the door panel: take out screws, pry off trim clips with the trim removal tool, and lift the panel away from the door.
Carefully remove the old beltline molding and glass run channel: pull out any clips or staples with needle-nose pliers and slide the old rubber channel out from the window frame.
Clean the channel area and wipe down mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove adhesive residue, dirt, and old sealant.
Test-fit the new rubber glass run channel and beltline molding on the door to confirm orientation and fit.
Install the new glass run channel into the window frame, seating it fully along the channel edge. Reinstall any retainers or clips supplied with the kit.
Position the outer beltline molding and secure it using the appropriate staples, clips, or fasteners. For stapled inner moldings, re-staple in the original locations or use supplied hardware.
Cycle the window up and down a few times to ensure smooth operation and verify that the glass contacts the run channel evenly with no binding.
Reinstall the door panel and any removed trim pieces. Tighten screws and ensure all clips are fully engaged.
Perform a final inspection for fit, seal integrity, and operation. If needed, make minor adjustments to molding placement or fastener tightness.
