Precision Beltline Molding Kit WFP 1112 88 is a front door outer left-and-right pair engineered to restore the beltline trim and secure the door edge molding with metal clip retention. The kit protects the weatherseal, reduces wind noise and water intrusion, and returns a clean, factory appearance to vehicles that use the WFP 1112 88-style beltline molding — verify exact year, make and model fitment for your vehicle. Metal clip-style construction provides reliable, long-lasting retention and easy snap-in installation, making this kit ideal for restoration and replacement projects.
Features:
- Pair includes front door outer molding — left and right pieces.
- Metal clip-style retention for secure, OEM-like fitment.
- Protects beltline and weatherseal, helping reduce wind noise and water intrusion.
- Durable stamped metal construction with corrosion-resistant finish.
- Easy snap-in installation — ideal for restoration and repair of worn or damaged trim.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower windows for easier access.
- Carefully pry up the old beltline molding using a plastic trim tool and/or small flathead screwdriver to avoid scratching paint. Work slowly from one end to the other.
- Remove any retained metal clips from the door channel and inspect clip posts and holes for damage.
- Clean the mounting channel and adjacent surfaces with isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner and a cloth; remove old adhesive residue and dirt to ensure good seating.
- If the new molding does not come with clips pre-installed, transfer good clips from the old molding or attach supplied clips to the new molding according to their orientation.
- Align the leading edge of the new molding with the door’s beltline, position the first clip, then press firmly along the molding to engage each clip into the door channel. Use a rubber mallet lightly if needed to fully seat stubborn clips.
- Work from one end to the other, checking that the molding sits flush and uniformly along the beltline with no gaps.
- Trim or bend any overhanging ends only if necessary to fit; avoid forcing clips into damaged holes.
- Inspect the installed molding for secure retention by pulling gently at several points. Reinstall any interior trim panels removed during the process and clean the installed molding.
