Precision Beltline Molding Kit (Inner Left & Right, WFP 1121 73) is a direct-fit pair of inner beltline moldings designed to restore the window-to-door trim interface, protect painted surfaces, and properly align the lower edge of the window glass. Identified by WFP 1121 73 and intended for 1973 applications—verify fitment for your specific vehicle—this kit replaces worn or damaged inner moldings to reduce wind noise, prevent water intrusion, and return a clean, factory-style appearance. Built for durability and ease of installation, the moldings are a practical restoration part for maintaining function and curb appeal.
Features:
- Fitment: WFP 1121 73 — designed for 1973 applications; verify fitment for your vehicle before purchase.
- Includes inner left and inner right beltline moldings sold as a matching pair.
- Restores proper window alignment and helps reduce wind noise and rattles.
- Protects door paint and edges from abrasion caused by the window glass.
- Manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials with an OEM-style profile for authentic appearance.
- Easy to install with standard trim tools; ideal for restoration and maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, lower the window slightly so the molding area is exposed, and disconnect the battery if you will be removing any powered window components.
- Carefully remove any interior door panels or trim that obstruct access to the inner beltline molding following the vehicle’s service procedures.
- Use a plastic trim tool or protected flat-head screwdriver to disengage clips or fasteners holding the existing inner molding; remove screws or retainers as needed.
- Pull the old molding free, noting clip locations and any adhesive residue. Use needle-nose pliers for stubborn clips, taking care not to damage surrounding metal or paint.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or an appropriate adhesive cleaner and a lint-free cloth; remove old adhesive and debris to ensure a solid fit.
- Test-fit the new inner left and right moldings to confirm orientation and clip alignment. Apply adhesive promoter or contact cement only if the original installation used adhesive.
- Press the molding into place, engaging clips and fasteners in sequence. Use masking tape to hold the molding while any adhesive sets, if applicable. Reinstall any screws or retainers.
- Reinstall interior door panels or trim, raise the window to check fit and operation, and verify there are no gaps, rubbing, or wind noise. Make final adjustments as necessary.
