The Precision Beltline Molding Kit, Inner/Outer, Left and Right Hand, 4 Piece Kit WFK 1110 81 A is a complete trim restoration set that secures and protects the beltline area while restoring a clean, factory appearance. Designed as direct-fit inner and outer beltline sections for compatible vehicles, the kit helps prevent paint damage, reduces wind noise and rattles, and provides long-lasting resistance to corrosion and wear. Use this kit when replacing worn or missing beltline trim to maintain proper panel alignment and visual continuity along the door and window sash.
Features:
- Complete 4-piece set: inner and outer moldings for left and right sides.
- Precision-formed, corrosion-resistant construction for long service life.
- Restores factory appearance and corrects fitment along the beltline.
- Helps protect paint and sheetmetal from edge wear and water intrusion.
- Designed for straightforward installation — ideal for restoration or replacement projects.
- Durable finish resists weathering and helps reduce wind noise and trim vibration.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Confirm fitment: test-fit each inner and outer piece to the vehicle beltline to verify orientation (left/right, inner/outer).
- Remove existing molding: use a trim removal tool or flat-blade screwdriver wrapped in tape to gently pry off old molding and any retained clips; remove leftover adhesive or sealant.
- Clean mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, wax and residue; allow to dry.
- Prepare new molding: if clips or fasteners are required, install them onto the new molding per the part’s clip locations. If adhesive is specified, apply adhesive promoter per manufacturer instructions.
- Align the new molding with the beltline and hold in position using masking tape or by hand. Verify gaps and fit before final attachment.
- Secure the molding: press clips into place until they engage the door skin, or seat adhesive-backed moldings by applying firm, even pressure along the length of the piece.
- Trim any excess material or adjust end conditions as required for a neat fit. Reinstall any door hardware or weatherstripping removed during disassembly.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per product instructions before driving. Inspect the installation to ensure secure fit and even appearance.
