Instructions:
Confirm fitment: compare kit pieces to existing moldings and verify part orientation (front/rear, left/right).
Remove old molding: gently pry away existing trim using a plastic trim tool; remove any retaining clips or adhesive residue.
Clean mounting surface: remove dirt, grease, and old adhesive with rubbing alcohol or a dedicated trim cleaner; allow to dry completely.
Test fit new pieces: position each molding without adhesive to ensure correct alignment and fit; mark reference points with masking tape if needed.
Apply clips or adhesive: install factory clips into new molding or apply a recommended automotive adhesive/sealant to the mounting flange per adhesive instructions.
Install molding: press the molding firmly into place along the beltline, working from one end to the other; use a rubber mallet gently if needed to seat clips.
Secure and cure: ensure all fasteners/clips are engaged and wipe away any excess adhesive; allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before exposing to weather.
Final check: inspect alignment, confirm secure fit, and test for gaps or loose sections; make adjustments if necessary.
