Ideal for restoration projects or replacing worn, pitted, or missing trim pieces to maintain correct body lines and weather sealing.
Features:
- Fits Second Series WFK 1110 55 VWD applications — left and right hand, 4-piece kit.
- Direct-fit replacement designed to restore the beltline trim profile and alignment.
- Durable with a corrosion-resistant finish to withstand exposure along the door and windshield edge.
- Secures trim and helps protect the window channel from water, dirt, and vibration.
- Simple installation with clips/screws for a reliable, OEM-style restoration.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, lower windows (if applicable), and ensure work area is clean and well-lit.
- Carefully remove the existing beltline molding: use a plastic trim tool to pry out trim and unfasten any visible screws or clips. Keep any reusable hardware.
- Clean the mounting channel and mating surfaces with a mild solvent and rag to remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new molding piece on the left and right sides to confirm orientation and alignment before final installation.
- Install new clips or re-use cleaned clips where applicable. Align the molding to the beltline and engage clips/retainers sequentially, pressing firmly until each clip seats.
- Fasten any retained screws or fasteners snugly (do not over-torque). If instructed or necessary, apply a bead of compatible seam sealer in areas prone to water intrusion.
- Inspect the entire length for uniform fit and finish, adjust as needed, and wipe away any residual cleaner or fingerprints.
- Allow any sealant to cure per manufacturer instructions before exposing to moisture or driving at high speeds.
