Features:
- Fits 1998 4-door quad cab trucks — left-hand door weatherstrip (DWL 3110 98).
- Durable extruded rubber-style construction resists cracking and compression set.
- Seals door edges to prevent water leaks, wind noise, and dust intrusion.
- OEM-style profile for a secure fit and proper door alignment.
- Ideal for restoration or replacing worn, brittle, or missing seals.
- Simple installation with common tools; can be secured with adhesive or original retainers.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15–30 minutes per door
Instructions:
- Open the door and carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it away from the retainer channel; use a trim tool if needed to lift clips.
- Inspect the retainer channel and remove any old adhesive, dirt, or debris. Clean the area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the door edge to verify orientation and length. Trim any excess with a utility knife if necessary.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin bead to the channel or back of the weatherstrip per adhesive manufacturer instructions. Align the seal starting at the top hinge area and press it firmly into the retainer channel as you work around the door.
- Use light, even pressure along the seal to seat it fully into the channel. Use masking tape to hold sections in place if adhesive is used and tack-up time is required.
- Close the door gently and check for proper door shut, even compression of the seal, and no interference with trim or glass. Open and close the door several times to seat the seal.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions (typically 24 hours) before exposing to moisture or high stress.
