This 2-piece door weatherstrip seal kit includes left- and right-hand seals designed to restore proper door sealing. It prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise, and helps maintain interior climate control by forming a tight, durable barrier between the door and body. Constructed from a long-lasting rubber compound and engineered for a precise fit, the kit improves driving comfort and protects interior trim from moisture and wear. Easy to install, it’s an effective restoration or replacement solution for worn or damaged door seals.
Features:
- Left- and right-hand 2-piece door weatherstrip seal kit for restoring door seals.
- Made from a durable rubber compound to resist weathering, compression set, and temperature changes.
- Seals out water, dust, and drafts while reducing wind and road noise.
- Straightforward retrofit for worn or torn original seals; ideal for restoration and maintenance.
- Designed for a secure fit and long-term reliability with minimal adjustment.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry out any retaining clips or push the old seal out of its channel using a trim tool.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove residue, dirt, and old adhesive; allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new seal in its channel to confirm orientation (left/right) and length; trim excess with a utility knife if necessary.
- If the design requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per adhesive instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel starting at one end and working to the other. Use masking tape to hold the seal in place while adhesive sets if needed.
- Close and open the door several times to seat the seal and check for proper clearance and alignment. Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before exposing to water or driving at high speeds.
