A direct-fit door weatherstrip seal designed to replace worn or damaged rubber around the door opening. Supplied for left or right applications (DWB 1110 94), this seal restores a tight, weatherproof barrier to prevent water intrusion, dust ingress and wind noise while helping maintain proper door alignment. Made from a weather-resistant rubber compound, it provides long-term durability and improves cabin comfort — ideal for repair, restoration or routine replacement work.
Features:
- Fits left or right door applications (DWB 1110 94).
- Constructed from a weather-resistant rubber compound for long life.
- Seals door edges to prevent water, dust and wind noise.
- Direct-replacement design for straightforward installation.
- Resists cracking, UV exposure and temperature extremes.
- Ideal for restoration projects and routine door seal replacement.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry it out of the channel using a trim tool or flat screwdriver.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue and old sealant. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the door frame to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess with scissors or a utility knife if needed.
- If recommended or if original seal used adhesive, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at the top corner, press the new seal firmly into the channel and work around the door opening, ensuring the profile seats fully and forms a continuous seal.
- Smooth the seal with your hand or a trim tool to remove gaps and ensure proper compression against the door.
- Allow adhesive to cure if used, then close the door and check for proper fit, alignment, and complete sealing. Make minor adjustments as required.
