Instructions:
- Open the door and carefully remove the old weatherstrip by prying out any retaining clips or pulling the seal free from the channel.
- Remove residual adhesive and debris from the channel using a scraper, then clean thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal into the door channel without adhesive to confirm orientation and length. Trim any excess material as needed, leaving a small overlap at the ends if specified.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel or to the seal, following the adhesive manufacturer's directions for coverage and open time.
- Starting at the top hinge area, press the seal into the channel and work around the door, aligning the profile and seating the reinforced channel firmly. Use a rubber roller or block to ensure full contact.
- Secure any ends or joints with painter's tape or clamps while adhesive cures. Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately with solvent as recommended.
- Allow adhesive to cure according to product instructions (typically 1–24 hours). Check door closure and adjust as needed to avoid binding or misalignment.
