A precision-engineered right-hand door weatherstrip seal designed to restore the original seal between door and body. This OE-style weatherseal prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise and vibration, and helps maintain proper door alignment and latch operation. Constructed from weather-resistant rubber, it provides durable, long-lasting protection for restoration and maintenance projects where a reliable door seal is required.
Features:
- Right-hand door weatherstrip seal (RH) for compatible vehicle door openings.
- Made from weather-resistant rubber for long-lasting durability and flexibility.
- Seals against water, dust and wind to reduce cabin noise and prevent leaks.
- Restoration-grade replacement that restores original fit and function.
- Easy to install with basic tools; can be bonded with weatherstrip adhesive for permanent fit.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it out of the channel; use a trim tool or flat screwdriver to release any retained clips or adhesive.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or an adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the door perimeter to ensure correct orientation and that lengths match; trim any excess with a utility knife or scissors if necessary.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or to the back of the seal according to the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Start at one end (typically the top hinge area) and press the weatherstrip firmly into the channel, working along the door edge and making sure the bulb and flange seat evenly without twists.
- Use a seam roller or a soft-faced tool to press the seal into place and ensure full contact; secure any clips or fasteners if present.
- Trim and tuck the ends neatly to avoid gaps and allow any adhesive to cure for the time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Close and open the door several times to confirm proper latch engagement and that the seal compresses evenly without binding; adjust if necessary.
