Instructions:
- Open the door and carefully remove the old weatherstrip: use a flat-head screwdriver or trim tool to pry out any retained edges and pull the seal away from the channel.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow the surface to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new right-hand weatherstrip in the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim the seal with scissors or a utility knife if minor length adjustments are necessary.
- If adhesive is recommended for your vehicle, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surface or the seal flange as directed by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Starting at the top hinge area, press the seal into the channel and work around the door, firmly seating the flange into place. Use light pressure or masking tape to hold sections while adhesive sets.
- Close the door and check for even compression along the seal. Make any small position adjustments before adhesive cures fully.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions (usually 1–24 hours) before heavy use. Recheck for gaps and ensure the door closes smoothly without binding.
