Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and ensure the roof rail area is dry and cool to the touch.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: use a plastic trim tool or wrapped flat-head screwdriver to pry out the existing seal, working slowly to avoid damaging the rail or surrounding trim.
- Clean the rail channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new left and right seals along the rail to confirm orientation and fit. Trim any excess length if necessary, cutting a little at a time.
- If specified by vehicle or for added security, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the rail channel per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the seal firmly into the rail channel, working along the length and using your thumb or a soft tool to ensure the bulb and flange seat fully into the channel.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in place if adhesive was used; allow adhesive to cure per product directions.
- Trim any final excess, reinstall any trim pieces removed, and inspect the seal for uniform compression and alignment. Test for leaks after installation by spraying water over the seam.
