Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old upper weatherstrip by carefully prying it out of the channel with a trim tool or wrapped screwdriver.
- Clean the door channel and mating surface with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, grease, and debris. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new left and right seals to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess with a razor knife or scissors so the ends meet without buckling.
- If required by your application, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel or along the bulb of the seal per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip into the channel starting at one end and working toward the other, ensuring the seal seats fully and evenly into the channel lip.
- Use light, even pressure or masking tape to hold the seal in place while adhesive cures (if used). Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately.
- Close and open the door several times to confirm smooth operation and proper sealing. Re-adjust or trim if necessary after initial fitment.
