Instructions:
- Remove the old upper door weatherstrip: carefully pry trim and pull the old seal from the channel. Save any retainers if reusable.
- Clean the mounting surface and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and oils. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new seal in place to confirm orientation and length; trim excess if necessary for a clean fit.
- If adhesive is recommended for your vehicle, apply a thin bead to the channel per adhesive instructions; many installations will also hold securely without adhesive.
- Insert the seal into the channel starting at one end, pressing the mounting flange fully into the channel and working along the length to avoid kinks or gaps.
- Use clamps or painter's tape to hold the seal in position while any adhesive cures (if used). Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately.
- Reinstall any trim pieces that were removed, check door alignment and operation, and perform a water/noise check to confirm the seal is installed correctly.
