A precision-molded cowl end seal kit engineered to replace worn or damaged seals that sit between the cowl and fender. The kit seals the gap to prevent water intrusion, road noise and debris from entering the engine bay and passenger compartment — protecting wiring, interior carpets and sheet metal from corrosion. Made for restoration and maintenance projects, it delivers OEM-style fit, long-lasting durability and straightforward installation for many vehicles requiring a cowl end seal replacement.
Features:
- High-quality EPDM rubber construction for weather, ozone and UV resistance.
- Seals cowl-to-fender gap to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise and block debris.
- OEM-style profile for accurate fit and proper alignment with existing trim.
- Supplied as a complete kit for left and right cowl ends (cut-to-fit where needed).
- Easy to install with common hand tools — ideal for restoration or routine replacement.
- Resists compression set for long-term sealing performance and reliability.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and disconnect the negative battery terminal if working near electrical components.
- Remove windshield wiper arms and any trim or fasteners that obstruct access to the cowl ends.
- Carefully pry out and remove the old cowl end seals using a trim tool or flat screwdriver; avoid gouging paint or body panels.
- Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol or an approved cleaner and allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seal pieces and trim to length as required; use scissors or a utility knife for final fits.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin, even bead of adhesive or primer to the mounting surface per adhesive instructions.
- Press the new seals firmly into place, working from one end to the other to ensure full contact and correct alignment.
- Reinstall trim, fasteners and windshield wiper arms; check seal compression and clearance with hood and fender.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer's directions before exposing to water or driving in wet conditions.
