This right-hand quarter window weatherstrip seal is designed for 1966-1977 Ford Bronco models to secure and seal the quarter glass while providing a factory-match profile. Featuring a molded trim groove for steel exterior trim, the seal prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise and vibration, and protects sheetmetal and trim from wear. Built from durable, weather-resistant rubber, it offers reliable long-term performance and straightforward installation for restoration or replacement projects.
Features:
- Fits 1966-1977 Ford Bronco quarter windows (right-hand / RH)
- Made from durable, weather- and ozone-resistant rubber for long service life
- Molded trim groove accepts factory steel exterior trim for a secure OEM-style fit
- Seals against water and wind to prevent leaks, noise and interior damage
- Easy push-in installation for restoration or replacement applications
- OEM-profile design restores proper alignment and appearance of the quarter glass
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower or remove the quarter glass if applicable and safe to do so; consult vehicle service manual.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: loosen retaining clips or trim and pull the old seal out of the channel. Use a plastic trim tool or wrapped flathead to avoid scratching glass or bodywork.
- Clean the channel and surrounding surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive residue and old sealant. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip on the quarter glass and frame to confirm orientation (this is the right-hand/RH piece). Identify the molded groove for the steel trim.
- Starting at one end, press the weatherstrip into the window/frame channel. Work incrementally along the length, ensuring the seal seats fully and the trim groove is aligned for the steel trim.
- If needed, use a rubber mallet or block of wood to gently tap the seal into place—avoid sharp blows that could deform the seal.
- Install the steel exterior trim into the seal’s groove, ensuring it engages securely and follows the contour of the glass.
- Reinstall any interior trim or hardware removed earlier, check the window operation (if applicable), and inspect the seal for uniform contact. Test for leaks after installation with a gentle water spray.
