A precision-molded rear quarter window weatherstrip seal designed for Double Wall Tops WBL D1107 T. This seal (without a trim groove) provides a tight, weatherproof barrier around the rear quarter window to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and restore proper fit on convertible or soft top assemblies. Made from a durable elastomer compound, it resists compression set, UV and ozone for long-lasting performance and reliable sealing during restoration or replacement projects. Easy to trim and seat, it helps maintain top alignment and appearance while improving cabin comfort.
Features:
- Fitment: Designed for Double Wall Tops WBL D1107 T applications (rear quarter window, no trim groove).
- Constructed from durable EPDM-style rubber for long-term resistance to UV, ozone, and weathering.
- Seals out water and wind to reduce leaks and cabin noise.
- No trim groove design fits top frames that do not use a separate trim bead.
- Straightforward installation and trim-to-fit sizing for restoration and replacement projects.
- Helps restore correct window alignment and maintain the finished appearance of the top.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry out the existing seal using a trim tool to avoid damaging the top frame.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the channel to confirm orientation; trim any excess length with a utility knife if needed.
- Apply a light coat of silicone lubricant to the bulb and channel to ease installation. If the application requires permanent bonding, apply weatherstrip adhesive sparingly to the channel per adhesive instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the seal into the channel, seating the inner flange fully and aligning the outer lip against the window opening. Work progressively along the length to avoid air pockets.
- Trim the seal flush at the corners or overlap per the top manufacturer's guidelines, then press all surfaces firmly to ensure full contact.
- Allow adhesive (if used) to cure per the manufacturer's recommended time, then inspect the seal for gaps and perform a water test to confirm a watertight fit.
