1966–1977 Ford Bronco rear window weatherstrip seal (without trim groove), part WBL DB2528 T, designed to create a tight, reliable seal around the rear glass. This flexible rubber seal prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise, and protects interior trim from vibration and damage. Durable and weather-resistant, it’s ideal for restorations and direct replacement applications where original-style fit and long-term performance are required.
Features:
  • Fits 1966–1977 Ford Bronco rear window applications.
  • Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber for long-lasting sealing performance.
  • Designed without a trim groove to fit vehicles using full-molding or trim-retained glass.
  • Prevents water leaks and reduces wind noise for improved cabin comfort.
  • Easy to install as a direct replacement for worn or hardened original seals.
  • Ideal for restoration projects and maintenance to preserve interior and body condition.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Plastic trim removal tool
  • Flathead screwdriver (protected tip)
  • Rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner
  • Clean rags
  • Soapy water or silicone lubricant
  • Rubber mallet (optional)
  • Scissors or utility knife (for trimming if necessary)
  • Gloves
Instructions:
  1. Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any retaining clips or molding. Use a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching the paint or glass.
  2. Thoroughly clean the channel and mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol or an appropriate cleaner; remove old adhesive and debris.
  3. Test-fit the new seal around the glass to confirm orientation and fit. Note the top and bottom locations before final installation.
  4. Apply a light coat of soapy water or silicone lubricant to the seal to aid sliding and positioning. If your application requires adhesive, apply a compatible weatherstrip adhesive sparingly to the channel as directed by the adhesive manufacturer.
  5. Start seating the seal at the top center of the window and work outward and down, pressing the seal into the channel. Use a rubber mallet with a protective block if gentle persuasion is needed.
  6. Trim any excess material only if necessary for a custom fit, and re-install any trim or retaining clips that were removed.
  7. Allow any adhesive to cure per the manufacturer's instructions and verify the seal by checking for gaps and testing for leaks once fully set.
