Rear window weatherstrip seal (without trim groove), part number WBL 1163, engineered for standard cab vehicles with compatible rear window openings. Molded from durable EPDM rubber to resist UV, ozone and temperature cycling, this seal restores a tight, watertight fit to prevent leaks, wind noise and interior damage. Designed as a direct replacement for worn or cracked seals, it delivers long-term reliability and an easy push-in installation that returns the window area to factory-like protection.
Features:
- Fits standard cab rear window apertures — verify part number WBL 1163 for exact fitment.
- Made from long-lasting EPDM rubber for UV, ozone and temperature resistance.
- No trim groove design sits flush in the window channel for a clean seal.
- Prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise and protects interior trim and paint.
- Direct replacement for aged or damaged seals to restore factory sealing performance.
- Easy push-in installation; suitable for restoration and maintenance projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and remove interior trim pieces around the rear window to access the weatherstrip channel.
- Carefully cut and remove the old weatherstrip. Use a utility knife to separate any sections bonded in place, taking care not to damage metal or paint.
- Clean the weatherstrip channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a rag to remove old adhesive, dirt and rubber residue; allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new WBL 1163 seal into the channel to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess with a utility knife if necessary, leaving a tight joint at the overlap.
- Apply a light coating of soapy water or silicone rubber lubricant to the bulb and channel to ease installation.
- Starting at one side, press the new seal into the channel, working around the perimeter. Use a plastic trim tool or a soft-block and rubber mallet to seat the seal evenly without overstretching.
- Reinstall interior trim and inspect the seal for uniform contact. If desired, test for leaks with a light water spray and check for wind noise during a short drive.
