A direct-replacement right-hand vent glass frame (VGF 1110 81 RHS) designed to restore proper support, sealing, and alignment to the vent (quarter) window assembly. This precision-formed frame secures the vent glass, prevents wind noise and water intrusion, and reduces vibration and wear on the window seal. Constructed from heavy-gauge, corrosion-resistant material with factory-style mounting points and a finished surface, it offers durable, long-lasting performance for restoration and maintenance projects. Confirm part number VGF 1110 81 RHS against your vehicle's parts list to ensure fitment before installation.
Features:
- Right-hand (RHS) vent glass frame — part number VGF 1110 81 RHS for direct replacement where specified.
- Heavy-gauge, corrosion-resistant construction for long service life and rust protection.
- Precisely formed mounting points and finished edges for correct glass alignment and fit.
- Restores proper sealing to reduce wind noise and prevent water leaks into the door cavity.
- Simple swap-in design for restoration and maintenance of vent window assemblies.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45–90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, disconnect the negative battery terminal if power windows are present, and lower the vent glass slightly (if movable) to access fasteners.
- Remove the interior door panel and any inner vapor barrier or trim that obstructs access to the vent window area using trim tools and screwdrivers; label fasteners for reassembly.
- Support the vent glass gently with tape or a helper to prevent dropping when fasteners are removed.
- Remove the mounting screws or rivets that secure the vent glass and frame to the door. Retain fasteners if reusing, or replace with new hardware as needed.
- Carefully separate the vent glass from the old frame and lift the assembly out of the door opening. Note the location of any shims, seals, or clips for reinstallation.
- Clean the door flange and mounting surfaces of old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion. Inspect and replace any damaged seals or clips.
- Test-fit the new vent glass frame (VGF 1110 81 RHS) into the opening to verify alignment and clearance. Make any necessary adjustments before final fastening.
- Install the vent glass into the new frame, align the frame to the door, and secure with the original or supplied fasteners. Torque fasteners to manufacturer specifications where available.
- Reinstall seals or apply weatherstrip adhesive where needed to ensure a watertight fit. Check glass operation and alignment; adjust mountings or shims to eliminate binding and ensure smooth movement.
- Reinstall the inner vapor barrier, door panel, and trim. Reconnect the battery (if disconnected) and perform a final inspection for proper sealing, window function, and absence of wind noise or leaks.
