Tempered vent glass (2320 T GTN) designed as a left- or right-hand replacement vent window. This green-tinted safety glass restores the original weather barrier, visibility, and structural fit of the vent opening while providing improved impact resistance and reduced glare. Ideal for restoration and maintenance projects, the glass is tempered for durability, resists chipping and cracking, and installs into existing vent channels to help eliminate wind noise and water intrusion.
Features:
- Fits left- or right-hand vent window openings — check part number 2320 T GTN for compatibility
- Tempered safety glass for enhanced impact resistance and breakage safety
- Green tint reduces glare and helps protect interior trim from sun fade
- Designed to seat into standard vent channels for a secure, OEM-style fit
- Helps prevent wind noise and water leaks when paired with good seals
- Durable finish resists chips and scratches; ideal for restorations and replacements
- Straightforward swap for worn or broken vent glass to improve appearance and function
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, disconnect battery if recommended by vehicle service manual, and wear safety gloves and glasses.
- Remove interior door panel and any door-mounted components (armrest, handle escutcheons) to access the vent channel and mounting screws.
- Peel back the vapor/water barrier carefully and remove any fasteners or set screws that retain the vent glass assembly.
- Support the vent frame and carefully slide or tilt out the old vent glass; vacuum loose debris and clean the channel and frame with alcohol or glass cleaner.
- Inspect the channel felt/seals and replace worn felt or rubber seals before installing new glass.
- Carefully seat the new tempered vent glass into the channel (ensure correct left/right orientation) and align it with the mounting points; secure with the original screws/clips.
- Cycle the vent/window to confirm smooth operation and proper alignment; check for gaps and adjust as needed to prevent wind noise or leakage.
- Reinstall the vapor barrier, interior door panel, and all removed hardware. Clean the new glass and perform a final leak/operation check.
