This tempered vent glass is a direct-fit left- or right-hand replacement designed to restore the appearance, weather sealing, and function of vehicle vent or quarter windows. The green-tinted, tempered construction provides improved safety and durability over aged or damaged originals while matching OEM look and optical clarity. Ideal for restoration or routine replacement, it helps reduce wind noise, water intrusion, and rattles for a secure, long-lasting fit.
Features:
- Tempered green glass engineered for safety, impact resistance, and optical clarity.
- Available for left- or right-hand vent window applications; OEM-style shape and thickness.
- Restores proper sealing to reduce wind noise, water intrusion, and vibration.
- Durable construction resists chips and shattering under normal use.
- Suitable for restoration projects or routine replacement to maintain vehicle value.
- Direct-replacement design for straightforward installation with common hand tools.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a flat surface, engage parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if door has powered components.
- Put on safety glasses and gloves. Cover interior trim to protect surfaces from scratches.
- Remove the interior door panel: remove screws, window crank or power switch, and carefully pry trim clips with plastic tools.
- Lower or position the vent assembly as needed to access mounting screws or pivot bolts holding the vent glass; consult vehicle-specific service manual for exact fastener locations.
- Support the vent frame while removing fasteners. Mark the position of any shims or alignment tabs to aid reassembly.
- Carefully remove the damaged glass: lift out at the pivot point or slide from channel as applicable. Use masking tape on broken edges if glass is fractured.
- Clean the channel and frame, remove old sealant or adhesive, and apply a light spray of silicone lubricant to channels if recommended.
- Install the new tempered vent glass into the channel or pivot, aligning with previously noted markings or shims. Reinstall fasteners without fully tightening, check alignment and operation, then torque to spec.
- Test the vent operation for smooth movement and proper sealing. Make any minor adjustments to alignment or shims to eliminate wind noise or gaps.
- Reinstall the interior trim panel, switches, and hardware. Reconnect the battery if disconnected and perform a final functionality and leak check.
