Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, set the parking brake, and wear safety gloves.
- Carefully pry away the windshield molding using a plastic trim tool or flat screwdriver to expose the old clips.
- Remove any broken or corroded clips with needle-nose pliers and clean the clip mounting locations with a cloth and mild cleaner; allow to dry.
- Place the new clip into the mounting hole or retainer slot until it seats firmly — ensure the metal spring (if present) is oriented correctly.
- Align the windshield molding over the new clips and press the molding evenly onto each clip until you hear or feel it snap into place.
- Inspect the entire molding run to confirm even fitment and that all clips are fully engaged; adjust as needed.
- Check for gaps and test for secure retention by gently tugging on the molding. Reinstall any adjacent trim pieces removed during the process.
