Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and ensure the hard top is supported and stable.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: use a plastic trim tool or a taped screwdriver to pry out any retained sections without damaging the flange.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils; allow to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new seal along the right-hand side to confirm orientation and overall length; trim any excess with a utility knife for a snug fit.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of recommended weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surface following the adhesive manufacturer's directions.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel, starting at one end and working toward the other to avoid kinks; use masking tape to hold the seal in place if necessary.
- Allow adhesive to cure for the recommended time (typically 30 minutes to several hours) before removing supports and testing the hard top.
- Close the hard top and check for even compression and alignment; inspect for gaps, and trim or reposition if needed for a uniform seal.
