Right-hand rear corner tempered clear glass (BB0058 CLN) designed to restore visibility, weather sealing, and appearance for vehicles that use a corner vent/quarter window. - Restoration-grade replacement to restore weather-tight sealing and original appearance.
- Precision-cut edges for consistent fitment and easier sealing with urethane adhesives.
- Durable, scratch-resistant surface for long service life and clear visibility.
- Simple installation with standard automotive trim and adhesive techniques.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours active (plus 24-hour adhesive cure time)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, and wear safety gloves and eye protection.
- Remove interior trim panels and any molding around the corner window to expose the glass perimeter and adhesive.
- Carefully cut through the old urethane or seal using a utility knife or gasket cutter; have an assistant hold or support the glass as you loosen it.
- Lift out the old glass with a suction cup lifter; dispose of tempered glass fragments safely if it is broken.
- Thoroughly clean the pinch weld and surrounding flange of old adhesive, rust, and debris using a paint-safe scraper and solvent; allow to dry.
- Apply primer to the vehicle flange and the edge of the replacement glass as per adhesive manufacturer instructions; allow primer flash time.
- Apply a continuous bead of urethane adhesive to the flange sized per the adhesive instructions.
- With an assistant, position the new rear corner glass into place, aligning edges and ensuring proper engagement with the flange; press firmly to seat the adhesive.
- Tape the glass in position to maintain alignment while the adhesive initial-cures.
- Reinstall trim and molding after initial set or after full cure as recommended by the adhesive manufacturer (typically allow 24 hours for full cure before driving).
- Clean excess adhesive from surrounding areas with appropriate solvent and reinstall all interior trim panels.
