A direct-fit windshield side molding kit engineered for 2009-2019 Ford Flex vehicles to seal, protect and finish the windshield perimeter. This kit replaces worn, cracked or missing side moldings to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, protect paint and glass edges, and restore the vehicle’s factory appearance. Made to match OEM profiles for reliable fitment, the molding delivers long-lasting weather and UV resistance for improved durability and simple installation for restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
- Fits 2009-2019 Ford Flex (driver and passenger windshield side moldings).
- High-quality EPDM rubber with a corrosion-resistant channel for secure attachment and long-term weather resistance.
- Seals windshield edges to prevent leaks and reduce wind noise while protecting paint and glass trim.
- Direct-fit replacement restores factory appearance and alignment without extensive modification.
- Easy to install with common trim tools; ideal for restoration, repair, or routine maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and ensure the windshield area is clean and dry.
- Carefully pry up the old side molding using a plastic trim removal tool; use a tape-wrapped flat screwdriver for stubborn clips. Work slowly to avoid damaging paint or glass.
- Remove any remaining clips or adhesive residue with isopropyl alcohol and clean rags; allow the surface to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new molding along the windshield edge to confirm orientation and clip alignment before final installation.
- If needed, soften the new molding with a heat gun or hair dryer on low to make it more pliable for tight corners.
- Starting at one end, press the molding into place along the windshield edge, engaging clips or the channel as you go. For areas that feel loose, apply a small amount of weatherstrip adhesive and hold in place with light pressure or masking tape until set.
- Trim any excess material if necessary and reinstall any trim pieces removed during disassembly.
- Inspect the seal for gaps, ensure clips are fully engaged, and allow adhesive (if used) to cure as recommended before driving.
