Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and protect painted surfaces with masking tape and drop cloths.
- If applicable, remove windshield wiper arms and any trim pieces that obstruct the top molding per vehicle service manual.
- Carefully pry out the old top molding using a trim tool or wrapped screwdriver to avoid damaging the windshield or paint; remove any retaining clips.
- Clean the windshield flange and channel thoroughly with solvent to remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion. Allow to dry.
- Inspect the mounting area for rust or damage; repair or treat as needed before installing the new molding.
- Test-fit the new molding into the channel to confirm orientation and clip alignment.
- If clips or adhesive are required, install new clips or apply recommended adhesive/seam sealer per product instructions.
- Press the new molding firmly into place along the entire length, ensuring all clips engage and the profile seats evenly. Use a rubber mallet gently if needed.
- Reinstall any removed trim and wiper arms, torque fasteners to factory specs, and clean the area.
- Allow any adhesive or sealant to cure per manufacturer recommendations before exposing to water or driving at highway speeds.
