A complete left- and right-hand 6-piece beltline molding and glass run channel kit designed to restore proper window fit, sealing, and alignment on classic vehicles. This kit replaces worn or missing beltline trim and glass run channels to stop water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and ensure smooth window operation. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant materials with corrosion-resistant backing, the components provide long-term reliability and a factory-like appearance. Ideal for restoration or maintenance projects, the kit helps preserve vehicle value and simplifies installation for DIYers and professionals alike. Designed for select 1973 vehicles—confirm specific make and model fitment before purchase.
Features:
- Fits select 1973 models — verify specific year, make, and model fitment prior to installation.
- Complete 6-piece set includes left and right hand beltline moldings and glass run channels for both windows.
- Made from weather-resistant rubber and corrosion-resistant backing for long-lasting seals and durability.
- Restores proper window alignment, reduces wind noise, and prevents water leaks into the door cavity.
- Direct-replacement design for restoration projects or to replace brittle, torn, or missing original pieces.
- Straightforward installation with common hand tools — ideal for DIY restoration or professional fitting.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Instructions:
- Lower the window glass (if applicable) and remove any interior door panels or trim necessary to access the beltline and channel area.
- Carefully remove the old beltline molding and glass run channel: use a trim tool or flat screwdriver to release clips, and a utility knife to cut away any bonded adhesive or deteriorated rubber.
- Clean the mounting surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol, removing old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion so the new parts seat flat.
- Dry-fit the new glass run channels and beltline moldings to confirm orientation (left/right) and trim length. Trim excess material if necessary with a utility knife.
- If instructed or required for your vehicle, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting surface or channel edge.
- Insert the glass run channel into the beltline groove, aligning clips or mounting holes. Press firmly along the length and use a rubber mallet or block of wood to seat the molding evenly without deforming it.
- Reinstall any retained clips or fasteners, raise and lower the window to verify smooth operation and proper sealing, and make any minor adjustments.
- Reinstall door panels and trim, then test the window again for noise, alignment, and water infiltration (hose test recommended).
