Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and corrosion.
Dry-fit each new molding piece to verify orientation (inner vs. outer, left vs. right) and alignment before final installation.
Install any required retainers or replacement clips into the mounting channel or onto the molding per vehicle-specific layout.
Align the molding with the channel and press firmly along its length to engage clips or use light taps with a rubber mallet where needed. Ensure ends meet and gaps are even.
