This Precision Door Weatherstrip Seal Kit DK 1110 81 is an 8-piece set that replaces worn glassruns, beltlines and door seals to restore proper door sealing, reduce wind noise, prevent water intrusion and protect interior trim. Designed as a direct replacement for vehicles that call for the DK 1110 81 kit, the components are engineered for long-lasting performance with durable EPDM rubber and reinforced channels to maintain window alignment and smooth operation. Ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance, the kit improves climate control, reduces vibration and simplifies reassembly with pre-formed pieces for left and right doors.
Features:
- Complete 8-piece kit includes left and right glassruns, beltlines and door seals for both doors (kit DK 1110 81).
- Made from durable EPDM rubber and reinforced metal edges for long service life and UV resistance.
- Seals out water, dust and road noise while preventing window rattle and reducing vibration.
- Pre-formed channels and accurate profiles simplify installation and ensure correct window alignment.
- Ideal for restorations, replacements and maintenance to return doors to factory fit and function.
- Compatible with vehicles specified to use DK 1110 81 weatherstrip components (verify fitment before purchase).
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-90 minutes per door pair
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, disconnect the negative battery cable if airbag or powered window systems are present, and lower the window partway to access fasteners.
- Remove the interior door panel and any water shields or trim pieces that block access to the glassrun and beltline.
- Carefully detach the window from the regulator (if necessary) and raise or support the glass to prevent movement during work.
- Remove the old beltline and glassrun seals by pulling them out of the channel; cut away any stubborn adhesive or damaged rubber with a utility knife.
- Clean the channel and surrounding surfaces thoroughly with alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt and debris; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new pieces to confirm orientation (left vs. right) and sequence of installation before applying any lubricant or adhesive.
- Apply a light coating of silicone spray or rubber lubricant to the glass edges and new glassrun channels to ease assembly and prevent pinching.
- Install the new glassruns and beltlines into the door channel, seating metal edges fully into the retainers and ensuring the rubber profiles align with the window glass.
- Lower the window onto the new glassrun, check for smooth travel and proper alignment, and adjust the regulator or glass stops if needed for correct fit.
- Reinstall trim, water shields and the interior door panel, then test window operation several times and inspect for gaps, leaks or binding.
