Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, shut off engine, and wear safety gloves.
- Carefully pry up the windshield molding using a plastic trim tool to avoid scratching the paint; work along the molding to release it from the body.
- Remove any damaged or remaining old clips from the body and molding. Use needle-nose pliers or a flat screwdriver if needed.
- Clean the clip mounting areas and mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive, and debris; allow to dry.
- Inspect the new clips and identify orientation. If clips attach to the body first, press them into the factory mounting holes until fully seated; if they attach to the molding, slide or snap them onto the molding as directed.
- Align the molding with the windshield edge and press firmly so each clip engages its corresponding body hole. Work along the molding and ensure clips snap into place evenly.
- Check the molding for proper alignment and that there are no gaps. Re-seat any clips if necessary.
- Wipe the area clean and allow any disturbed seals to settle. Re-check after a short test drive to ensure clips remain secure and there are no wind noise or leaks.
