Simple installation makes it suitable for DIY repairs or professional fit-up work.
Features:
- Durable rubber construction resists weathering, oil and compression set.
- Cushions panels to prevent metal-to-metal contact and reduce vibration.
- Restores proper hood and fender alignment and reduces rattles.
- OEM-style replacement ideal for restoration, repair, and maintenance.
- Simple push-in or threaded mounting for quick, reliable installation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 10-30 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the hood and locate the existing bumper or mounting hole on the hood or fender.
- If replacing an old bumper, remove it by pulling straight out or unscrewing the mounting screw/nut. Use penetrating oil on rusted hardware as needed.
- Clean the mounting hole or stud with a rag to remove dirt, grease and debris.
- For push-in style bumpers: align the bumper stem with the hole and press firmly until it snaps into place. Ensure it is seated flush and secure.
- For threaded or stud-mounted bumpers: place the bumper over the stud, add any required washer, and tighten the nut or fastener hand-tight, then snug with a socket wrench. Do not over-tighten; seat the bumper without compressing it excessively.
- Close the hood and check panel gap and contact point. Adjust bumper height (by using a washer or selecting different compression) as needed for correct alignment.
- Re-check tightness and operation after a short test drive and re-adjust if necessary.
