Rear sway bar link (right/left hand) for 2011–2014 Ford and Lincoln vehicles. This suspension link secures the anti-roll (sway) bar to the rear suspension, helping to control body roll, improve handling, and maintain stability during cornering. Built to replace worn or damaged factory links, the part provides reliable performance, corrosion resistance, and a direct-fit design for straightforward restoration or maintenance of the vehicle’s rear suspension geometry.
Features:
- Fitment: 2011–2014 Ford and Lincoln rear sway bar link — direct fit for right or left side.
- Durable construction with corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
- Restores proper sway bar connection to reduce body roll and improve handling.
- Designed as a replacement for worn or damaged factory links; ideal for suspension refreshes.
- Easy-to-install direct-fit design that uses existing mounting points and hardware.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes (per side)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and block front wheels.
- Loosen rear wheel lug nuts slightly, raise the rear with a floor jack and support on jack stands, then remove the rear wheel for access.
- Locate the sway bar link connecting the sway bar to the rear suspension/axle; apply penetrating oil to fasteners if needed and allow to soak.
- Use appropriate sockets/wrenches to remove the nuts/bolts securing the top and bottom of the sway bar link. Hold the stud with a wrench to prevent spinning if required.
- Remove the old link from the vehicle. Inspect surrounding bushings, sway bar, and mounting points for wear or damage and clean surfaces.
- Position the new sway bar link in place, aligning studs with original mounting holes. Install any included bushings or washers per orientation of the original part.
- Hand-tighten nuts/bolts, lower the suspension slightly so the sway bar rests in natural position, then torque fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle to the ground, and torque wheel lug nuts to spec.
- Test drive at low speed to confirm normal handling and listen for noises; re-check fastener torque after a short drive.
