Front outer left-hand tie rod end for 2019-2024 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles. This precision-engineered steering component secures the steering linkage to the wheel hub, translating steering input into accurate wheel movement while maintaining alignment and vehicle stability. Built for durability and reliable performance, it restores steering feel, reduces play, and helps prevent uneven tire wear. Ideal for restoration, maintenance, or replacement during suspension repairs.
Features:
- Fitment: 2019-2024 Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC models — front outer left-hand position.
- Direct-fit replacement designed to restore factory steering geometry and responsiveness.
- High-strength materials and corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
- Secures steering linkage to the wheel hub, reducing play and improving handling.
- Easy to install with basic hand tools; suitable for professional or DIY repair.
- Prevents premature tire wear and contributes to safer, more predictable steering.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park on level ground, engage parking brake, and chock rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, raise vehicle with jack, and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel.
- Locate the outer left tie rod end at the steering knuckle and inner tie rod connection. Mark the position of the old tie rod on the threaded section to preserve alignment.
- Loosen the jam nut on the inner tie rod. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the castle nut (if equipped) securing the tie rod end to the steering knuckle.
- Use a tie rod end puller or pickle fork to separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Unscrew the tie rod end from the inner tie rod the same number of turns as marked to maintain approximate alignment.
- Install the new outer left tie rod end by threading it onto the inner tie rod to the marked position. Hand-tighten the jam nut against the tie rod end.
- Insert the tapered stud of the new tie rod end into the steering knuckle, tighten the castle nut to the manufacturer's torque specification, and install a new cotter pin if required.
- Tighten the jam nut to secure the assembly. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to specification.
- Because minor alignment variations can occur, have a professional wheel alignment performed after installation to ensure proper tire wear and steering geometry.
