Precision-fit rubber door bumper designed for 1952–1954 Chevrolet passenger cars. This 3/8" two-pronged bumper cushions the door and striker, preventing metal-to-metal contact, reducing rattles and protecting paint and trim. Made for long-term durability and simple push-in installation, it restores factory door stop function and is ideal for maintenance or full restoration projects.
Features:
  • Fits 1952–1954 Chevrolet passenger cars (door stop application).
  • 3/8" diameter, two-pronged design for a secure push-fit in factory holes.
  • Constructed from high-quality EPDM rubber for resistance to weather, oil and ozone.
  • Prevents metal-on-metal contact, reduces door rattles and protects paint/trim.
  • Easy, no-fuss replacement — restores original door stop height and function.
  • Durable, long-lasting part ideal for restoration projects and routine maintenance.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 1/5
  • Estimated time: 10-20 minutes per bumper
Suggested Tools:
  • Flathead screwdriver or plastic trim tool
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Clean cloth and isopropyl alcohol
  • 3/8" drill bit and deburring tool (only if hole is missing or damaged)
Instructions:
  1. Locate the existing door bumper on the door or latch post and remove the old bumper by prying gently with a flathead screwdriver or pulling with needle-nose pliers.
  2. Clean the mounting hole with a cloth and isopropyl alcohol; remove rust or debris to ensure a snug fit.
  3. Inspect the hole: if it is missing or too small, drill a clean 3/8" hole and deburr the edges before proceeding.
  4. Align the two prongs of the new bumper with the hole and push firmly until the flange sits flush against the surface.
  5. Check door operation and stop engagement; adjust or replace with a second bumper if necessary to achieve proper alignment and cushioning.
  6. Recheck after a short drive to ensure the bumper remains seated and is performing as expected.
