Instructions:
- Open the hood and locate the existing hood/fender bumper and its mounting point.
- If the old bumper is the push-in type, pry up around the base with a flat screwdriver or trim tool and pull it free. If it is threaded, use the appropriate socket or wrench to remove it.
- Clean the mounting surface of dirt, grease, and corrosion using a cloth. Apply penetrating oil to rusted studs if needed and allow it to soak briefly.
- Compare the new BMP 025 to the old part to confirm style (push-in vs threaded) and length. Trim or select a different bumper if necessary for correct height.
- Install the new bumper: for push-in types, align the base and press firmly until fully seated; for threaded types, hand-start the bumper then snug with a socket or wrench — avoid over-tightening.
- Close the hood and check panel gaps and contact. Adjust bumper height or replace with a different size if additional clearance or compression is needed.
- Re-check after a short drive and retighten or re-seat as needed to ensure proper fit and quiet operation.
