Complete weatherseal kit engineered to restore factory sealing for first-generation Broncos. Designed for 1966–1977 Ford Bronco models, this kit replaces worn, cracked, or hard seals around doors, windows, and body openings to stop water intrusion, cut wind noise, and reduce vibration. Made from durable, weather-resistant elastomer, the kit provides an OEM-style fit that improves cabin comfort and preserves vehicle value during restorations or routine maintenance. Installation is straightforward with basic tools and adhesive where required, giving a reliable, long-lasting seal that resists UV, ozone, and temperature extremes.
Features:
- Fits 1966–1977 Ford Bronco (first-generation models).
- High-quality weather-resistant elastomer (EPDM-style) for long service life and UV/ozone resistance.
- Replaces door, window, and body opening seals to prevent leaks and reduce wind noise and vibration.
- Direct-fit pieces for straightforward replacement; many sections are push-in or adhesive-applied where specified.
- Ideal for restorations and maintenance to return original fit, finish, and weather protection.
- Durable construction resists hardening, cracking, and shrinkage for dependable, long-term performance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–3 hours (vehicle dependent)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and open all doors/windows to access seal locations.
- Remove old seals: carefully pry out retained sections and remove old adhesive or fasteners; use a pick or trim tool to avoid damaging paint.
- Thoroughly clean mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol or recommended cleaner and let dry; remove grease, dirt, and lingering adhesive.
- Test-fit each new seal piece to its corresponding location to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- For push-in or clip-style sections, align and press into the channel starting at one end, working along the length and ensuring full engagement.
- For adhesive-applied sections, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the seal or vehicle flange per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions; press the seal into place and hold with masking tape or clamps until the adhesive skins.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a neat finish and make sure corners and joints are seated tightly; use a rubber mallet with a wood block if gentle persuasion is needed.
- Reinstall any trim or hardware removed during disassembly and operate doors/windows to check for proper closure and alignment.
- Perform a water or hose test and listen for wind noise while driving; readjust or re-seat seals if leaks or drafts are detected, and allow adhesive to fully cure before heavy use.
