Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and open all doors/windows to access seal locations.
- Remove old seals: carefully pry out retained sections and remove old adhesive or fasteners; use a pick or trim tool to avoid damaging paint.
- Thoroughly clean mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol or recommended cleaner and let dry; remove grease, dirt, and lingering adhesive.
- Test-fit each new seal piece to its corresponding location to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- For push-in or clip-style sections, align and press into the channel starting at one end, working along the length and ensuring full engagement.
- For adhesive-applied sections, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the seal or vehicle flange per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions; press the seal into place and hold with masking tape or clamps until the adhesive skins.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a neat finish and make sure corners and joints are seated tightly; use a rubber mallet with a wood block if gentle persuasion is needed.
- Reinstall any trim or hardware removed during disassembly and operate doors/windows to check for proper closure and alignment.
- Perform a water or hose test and listen for wind noise while driving; readjust or re-seat seals if leaks or drafts are detected, and allow adhesive to fully cure before heavy use.
