A complete push-on weatherstrip seal kit engineered to restore door-to-body sealing on vehicles equipped with a weatherstrip trim groove. The kit replaces worn or missing door seals to stop water leaks, reduce wind noise, and improve cabin comfort. Constructed from durable, weather-resistant EPDM-style rubber, this set is designed for reliable long-term performance and easy installation without special adhesives. Ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance, it helps preserve vehicle value and prevents interior damage from moisture and dust.
Features:
- Fits vehicles equipped with a weatherstrip trim groove; confirm groove-style fit before purchase.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber to resist cracking, UV damage, and compression set.
- Push-on design installs into the factory trim groove—no adhesive required for most applications.
- Restores OEM-style sealing to reduce wind noise, water intrusion, and road dust.
- Ideal for restoration and maintenance; replaces brittle or missing door seals for improved comfort and protection.
- Cut-to-fit lengths allow trimming for precise end-to-end sealing and proper door closure.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes (per vehicle, depending on number of doors and prep)
Instructions:
- Open the door and peel away the old weatherstrip from the trim groove; use a plastic trim tool or wrapped screwdriver to avoid scratching paint.
- Remove adhesive residue and dirt from the groove using a clean cloth and mild solvent or isopropyl alcohol. Allow the area to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new push-on weatherstrip along the door edge to verify orientation and length. Trim the seal to the correct length if necessary, leaving a small overlap for compression where specified by vehicle service information.
- Starting at one end, press the new weatherstrip lip into the trim groove. Work along the length, pushing the bulb and retaining fin fully into the channel so the seal seats evenly.
- Use a piece of masking tape temporarily to hold sections in place if needed while installing adjacent pieces or rechecking alignment.
- Close the door and check for even compression and proper closure. Make minor adjustments if there are gaps or excessive compression; trim or re-seat as required.
- Clean any fingerprints or smudges from adjacent paint and inspect the seal for consistent fit around corners and ends. Repeat for remaining doors.
