Precision Beltline Molding (Rear Side Outer, Left Hand) is a direct-fit exterior trim piece designed to restore the vehicle's beltline profile while protecting the door-to-window interface from damage and moisture intrusion. Finished for corrosion resistance and precision-formed for consistent alignment, this molding secures the outer edge of the rear side window area, improves appearance, and helps reduce wind noise and vibration. Ideal for restoration, collision repair, or routine replacement, it delivers durable, reliable performance and an OEM-style fit. Verify vehicle fitment before installation.
Features:
- Precision-formed, corrosion-resistant construction for long-lasting exterior protection.
- Secures and seals the rear side outer beltline to prevent water intrusion and protect paint.
- OEM-style profile and fit — designed for direct replacement and clean aesthetics.
- Helps reduce wind noise and vibration along the window edge.
- Ideal for restorations, repairs, or routine trim replacement to maintain factory appearance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Verify part number and confirm fitment for your vehicle before starting.
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and lower the window (if applicable) for access.
- Use plastic trim tools to carefully pry away any adjacent trim or seals and locate retaining clips or fasteners holding the old molding.
- Remove fasteners or clips with clip pliers or a screwdriver as required, gently working the old molding free to avoid damaging the paint or window seal.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and wax for proper adhesion and seating.
- Test-fit the new molding to ensure alignment and clip engagement. If adhesive or sealer is required, apply per manufacturer recommendations.
- Press the new molding into place, engaging each clip or fastener in sequence. Use masking tape to hold the molding in place while any adhesive cures, if applicable.
- Reinstall any removed seals or trim pieces, cycle the window (if lowered) to confirm clearance, and inspect the installation for secure fit and uniform gaps. Replace any damaged clips or fasteners as needed.
