The Precision Wiper Cowl Seals CS 1111 88 is a durable cowl-to-windshield seal engineered to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind noise, and protect the firewall and electrical components. Made from resilient weather-resistant rubber, this seal restores proper drainage and fitment for worn or missing original seals, improving cabin dryness and long-term reliability. Designed as a direct replacement to return the wiper cowl area to factory-like performance, it delivers easy installation and lasting resistance to UV, ozone, and temperature cycling—ideal for routine maintenance and restoration projects.
Features:
- Direct replacement cowl seal to restore proper drainage and firewall protection.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant EPDM rubber for UV, ozone, and temperature resistance.
- Prevents water intrusion into the engine bay and cabin, protecting wiring and components.
- Reduces wind noise and vibration by sealing the wiper cowl interface.
- Easy to install with standard hand tools; trims to fit if minor adjustments are required.
- Ideal for restoration and routine maintenance to return the cowl area to factory performance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, set parking brake, and turn off ignition. Lift wiper arms and mark their position on the windshield with tape or a marker to preserve alignment.
- Remove wiper arm nuts and carefully lift off the wiper arms. Place them aside in the marked positions.
- Remove the cowl cover fasteners (clips/screws) and carefully lift the cowl panel to expose the old seal. Use a trim tool to avoid damaging the panel.
- Pull out the old seal and clean the mounting channel thoroughly with a rag and rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new CS 1111 88 seal in the channel. Trim the ends lightly if necessary for a precise fit.
- If desired or required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive along the mounting channel. Press the new seal firmly into place, ensuring it seats evenly along the entire length.
- Reinstall the cowl panel and secure all clips and fasteners. Reinstall wiper arms in their original marked positions and tighten nuts to manufacturer torque specs.
- Lower the wiper arms and test wiper operation. Check for proper seating and run a water test (hose) to confirm there are no leaks and drainage is functioning.
