Instructions:
- Access the window edge by lowering the glass or removing the door panel per vehicle service procedure.
- If needed, carefully lower or remove the glass to provide full access to the top/edge channel (follow vehicle-specific instructions).
- Remove the old lockstrip by prying and pulling it free with pliers; cut into shorter sections if required to ease removal.
- Clean the glass edge and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, grease, and adhesive residue; let dry.
- Test-fit the new lockstrip on the glass to confirm orientation and required length; mark and trim excess with a utility knife or fine saw.
- Starting at one end, align the lockstrip lip with the glass channel and press the strip into place. Use a wooden block and rubber mallet or a lockstrip roller to evenly seat the strip along the entire length — work in short sections to avoid gaps.
- Trim any remaining excess and smooth the ends; reassemble the door glass and hardware as required.
- Operate the window several times to ensure smooth travel and that the weatherstrip stays seated. Check for leaks and wind noise and adjust if necessary.
