Right-hand vent glass weatherstrip (part VWR 2110 73) designed to seal and secure the vent/wing window. This precision-molded EPDM rubber seal restores proper glass alignment, prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise and vibration, and protects surrounding trim from wear. Durable and flexible, it’s ideal for restoration and routine replacement to maintain a watertight, quiet cabin and factory fit.
Features:
- Precision-molded EPDM rubber for long-lasting weather and ozone resistance
- Seals right-hand vent/wing glass to prevent leaks, wind noise, and rattles
- Restores original fit and alignment for improved appearance and function
- Easy to install — designed for a secure, push-in fit or adhesive bonding
- Durable construction resists compression set and cracking over time
- Suitable for restoration projects or routine replacement of worn seals
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the interior trim or retainers around the vent window to access the old seal.
- Use a trim tool or screwdriver to pry out the old weatherstrip; remove all old adhesive and rubber residue from the channel.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag; allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip into the channel to confirm orientation and fit (this is the right-hand piece).
- If the seal is a push-in style, press it evenly into the channel starting at one end and working to the other; use masking tape to hold in place if needed while seating.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions, then press the seal into place.
- Trim any excess material carefully with scissors or a utility knife and wipe away any adhesive squeeze-out.
- Reinstall interior trim and check the vent glass for smooth operation and a uniform seal; allow adhesive to cure per product instructions before driving in wet conditions.
