Instructions:
- Remove the old inner header seal and any remaining adhesive or gasket material using a razor blade or gasket scraper. Take care not to damage the metal header or windshield flange.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate cleaner and allow it to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the header to verify orientation and fit. Trim excess length if necessary, leaving a small overlap per the vehicle's original configuration.
- If adhesive is recommended for your application, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting flange or to the seal per adhesive instructions.
- Press the weatherstrip into place along the header, starting at one end and working to the other, ensuring the seal seats fully into any clips or channels.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately and inspect the seal for gaps or misalignment. Re-seat as needed.
- Allow adhesive to cure per the manufacturer's recommendations before exposing the area to water or reinstalling trim/trim clips.
