Instructions:
- Remove the old header weatherstrip: carefully pry out the existing seal using a trim removal tool or protected flat screwdriver.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with a rag and isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old adhesive, and debris; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip in the header channel to confirm orientation and full-length fit; trim excess if necessary.
- If required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting channel or to the seal per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel along its full length, ensuring it seats evenly without twists or gaps.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately and allow the adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer’s recommended time before exposing to water or driving.
