Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and wear gloves to protect hands.
- Carefully pry up the windshield side molding with a plastic trim tool, starting at one end and working slowly to avoid cracking the trim.
- Remove any remaining old or broken clips from the channel using a flat-blade screwdriver or needle-nose pliers; discard damaged clips.
- Clean the clip channel and mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a cloth; allow to dry.
- Orient the new clips to match factory alignment (hook/retention side facing the molding/channel).
- Press each new clip into the channel or onto the molding until you hear or feel a firm snap; space clips according to the original layout.
- Re-seat the side molding over the newly installed clips by aligning and pressing along its length until fully engaged.
- Inspect the trim for consistent gaps and secure fit; test drive and check for wind noise or leaks, re-adjust clips if necessary.
