Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and wear gloves to protect hands.
- Carefully pry away the windshield molding using a plastic trim removal tool to avoid scratching glass or paint.
- Remove any remaining old clips from the molding channel and the windshield flange. Use pliers or a flathead screwdriver as needed.
- Clean the mounting area and molding channel with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, grease, and adhesive residue; allow to dry.
- Position each new clip into the molding channel or onto the flange as required by your vehicle’s design. Ensure clips are oriented correctly for a flush fit.
- Align the molding with the windshield flange and press firmly along the molding to snap each clip into place. You may hear or feel a click when fully seated.
- Inspect the entire molding to confirm even seating and that all clips are engaged. Re-seat any clips that are not fully installed.
- Replace any adjacent trim or weatherstripping removed during the process and perform a water check if practical to verify sealing.
