Inner tie rod end (right/left hand) with gearbox and center link for 1999–2019 Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC and Hummer models. This complete steering inner tie rod assembly replaces worn or damaged components to restore precise steering feel, alignment stability, and safe vehicle handling. Built from high-strength steel with corrosion-resistant finishes and sealed joints, the assembly is designed to withstand road shocks and provide long service life. Ideal for restoration, maintenance, or replacement during steering repairs, it reduces play, improves steering response, and simplifies installation by supplying the inner rod, gearbox connection hardware, and center link as a matched unit.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake and chock rear wheels. Loosen front lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and secure on jack stands. Remove the front wheel(s) to access the steering linkage.
- Locate the inner tie rod assembly and inspect surrounding components. Apply penetrating oil to fasteners if corroded.
- Remove any protective boots or clamps covering the inner tie rod and gearbox connection.
- Loosen and remove the nut securing the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle. Use a tie rod puller or pickle fork to separate the outer tie rod from the knuckle.
- Loosen the lock nut on the outer tie rod and count the number of turns required to disengage it from the inner rod — this helps preserve approximate alignment during reassembly.
- Disconnect the inner tie rod from the gearbox/center link by removing mounting bolts or fasteners securing the assembly to the steering gearbox.
- Remove the old inner tie rod, center link and related hardware. Clean mating surfaces and inspect the gearbox and control arm components for wear or damage.
- Install the new inner tie rod assembly, aligning it to the gearbox and center link. Thread components together hand-tight to the previously noted position where applicable.
- Torque all fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications. Reinstall any protective boots and secure clamps.
- Reconnect the outer tie rod to the steering knuckle and torque the nut to specification. Adjust the outer tie rod to the counted turn position as a starting point for alignment.
- Reinstall the wheel(s), lower the vehicle, then torque the lug nuts to spec.
- Because steering geometry may have changed, have the vehicle professionally aligned as soon as possible after installation.
